  • It is up to the individual to decide which option they choose. Although more flexible than the Domain option, it is harder to verify because DNS must be used to verify it. We will use the URL prefix option in this example. Make sure to enter your entire URL. For example, if your site is https://yourdomain.com/ it needs to be that exact URL. Remember to add / at end of URL. You will need to add properties if your site uses HTTP or WWW. Google offers multiple methods to verify your site. They even recommend adding multiple ways for security. Talk to your host provider if you’re not sure of the content of your site.
  • To expand the option, click the arrow beside ‘HTML tag’.
  • We’ve made it simple for you. There are many ways to verify your website. Only need the authorization code to paste in Yoast Search Engine.
  • Copy the meta tag.
  • Highlight the entire meta code. Right-click the highlighted tag, click on “Copy”, or use the shortcuts cmd-c or ctrl -c for Mac. To add your site to Google Search Console, we only need the content section.
  • Log in to your WordPress site.
  • Logging in will bring you to your Dashboard.
  • Click on “SEO” > “General”.
  • You will find a menu on the left-hand side. Click on “SEO” in that menu. For more options, click on “General”
  • Click on the tab ‘Webmaster Tools’.
  • This page contains all necessary fields to verify the different webmaster tools (Google, Yandex, Baidu, Yandex, and Bing).
  • Paste the code into the Google field.
  • Only enter the random numbers and letters. Once you have filled in the code, click the “Save Changes” button.
  • Return to Google Search Console, and click “Verify”.
  • Congratulations! Congratulations! You have connected your website with Google Search Console. After you have verified and linked your website, you can now submit your sitemap. You can also submit your sitemap to Search Console for all the cool stuff it has!
